Girl's Night at the Oscars with Stonyfield
Stonyfield helped me throw a great Oscars Party by providing the yogurt, bingo cards and prize pack. However, the opinions expressed in this post are my own. This weekend I hosted a Girl's Night Oscar viewing party. I knew I wasn't alone in feeling like I needed something fun to break up the monotony, of winter, so I invited a few of my girlfriends over to watch the Oscars.
Stonyfield provided us with a great "Oscar Party Pack" to help celebrate the night that included their delicious Petite Crème yogurt. If you haven't tried Stonyfield Petite Crème, you should look for it in your grocer's dairy case. It's a sweeter, creamier take on Greek yogurt. Each cup has 10 grams of protein and the flavors are delicious. Vive La Vanilla is my favorite--I love the flecks of vanilla bean and it is so rich and creamy.
In case you didn't see their commercial during the Oscars you should check it out. It's a cute, tongue-in-cheek take on "confessions:"

I set out a "Yogurt Parfait" bar with different toppings to go with a selection of Stonyfield Petite Crème.

Of course I had to pick the white wine with the most appropriate label for a Girl's Night.
I also had to the chance to test out an amazing Rice Pudding recipe that Stonyfield put together. They teamed up with renowned chef Ludo Lefebvre to create a delicious rice pudding that features Stonyfield's Vanilla Petite Crème (which happens to be my fave). This was the first time I've ever made rice pudding, which can be a little tricky since you don't want to boil the milk and cream. But the result was incredibly delicious!
Rice Pudding with Stonyfield Vanilla Petite Crème
3 1/4 cup heavy cream
1 3/4 cup milk (I used Stonyfield whole milk)
3/4 cup Carolina Godl rice or Arborio Rice (I used Arborio rice)
1/2 cup sugar
1 cup or 2 http://www.stonyfield.com/products/petite-creme/vanilla-bean! cups
Put all ingredients (except yogurt) into a pot. Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium high heat, stirring constantly making sure that it doesn't stick to the bottom of the pot. Reduce heat to low and cook for 45 minutes covered, stirring occasionally until the rice is tender and the mixture is very thick (keep in mind the mixture will continue to thicken when cooled). To cool, transfer cooked rice into a shallow bowl and place that bowl inside another bowl of ice water. Allow to chill completely. Transfer to the refrigerator to cool more. Once ready to serve fold in the Petite Crème. Blend until fully incorporated. Serve with fresh fruit.

We had fun playing "Awards Night Bingo" with the game cards Stonyfield provided. Were all rooting for someone to present an award in a black dress (the one square everyone needed), but everyone wore pale pink it seemed.
The winner got a great prize pack from Stonyfield.
After everyone left (at 9:45...hey, we're all early risers with jobs or little ones that need us in the morning:) I stayed up to watch Lady Gaga sing the Sound of Music Tribute. I don't know about you but I was absolutely blown away. The Sound of Music was a childhood favorite of mine and listening to her nail the notes of those songs was chilling. And of course when she and Julie Andrews embraced on stage I cried. In case you missed it you can catch it HERE.

Did you watch the Oscars? Which nominated movies had you seen? Have your tried Stonyfield Petite Crème? Which is your favorite flavor?
