Meet Coach Canney
Sarah is a RRCA and USATF Level One Certified Running coach and brings to the table over 20 years of running experience. For most of her athletic career she was self-coached, taking her half marathon time from 1:55 to 1:30 and her marathon time from 4:11 to 3:25. Eager to help others reach their running goals, Sarah customizes running and strength training to the unique needs of each of her clients.
One-on-one Run Coaching
Fully customized training and one-on-one coaching with Sarah provide athletes with structure, directions, and support. Sarah takes a holistic approach to training, considering all the demands on an athlete outside of training. Constant communication, feedback, and modification are the hallmarks of one-on-one training as Sarah ensures the support of each of her athletes. One-on-one athletes can also schedule check-in and pre-race phone calls with Sarah for even more personalized coaching.

Semi-Custom Run Coaching
Join Sarah's coaching roster for a semi-custom month-to-month training program. With Perimenopause Training, Adventure Ready Training, Marathon, and Half Marathon, options available, each program can be tailored to your personal goals. These programs provide semi-custom training based on your responses to the New Athlete Questionnaire and offer the guidance of a running coach without the cost of one-on-one coaching.
Each plan delivers distance or goal-specific run, strength, and cross-training for all running levels from beginner to advanced, as well as strength training designed to gain fitness and help you reach your goals. These plans are customized based on your feedback in the initial athlete intake process to help maximize effectiveness and prevent injury.
These programs can be joined anytime and include coaching support via weekly emails, a private Facebook group, and feedback through Training Peaks.
Semi-Custom Run Coaching with Sarah Canney Includes:
Monthly training for the duration of the program with the option to extend semi-custom coaching on a month-to-month basis following the completion of the program.

Perimenopause Semi-custom Run Coaching:
Designed for runners in transition, this semi-custom plan takes the recommendations from leading female physiologists for training through perimenopause and marries it with a love of running.
With a heavy emphasis on lifting and plyometrics, plus the freedom to choose your cardio option, this plan has the flexibility necessary for training through a major transition. Plus you’ll have the feedback, accountability and troubleshooting power of a seasoned running coach.

Adventure Ready Group Training
Adventure Ready training is designed to establish a baseline fitness that allows you to seek out adventure on the road, trails, or slopes with the confidence that you have the fitness to feel good and the strength to avoid injury. This program is designed for adventure seekers, trail and road runners, hikers, and weekend warriors who want the structure and accountability of a group training program geared not to a specific race, but to overall fitness. This program has rolling registration and is always open!
