The Brands I Work with and Why
This particular post is not sponsored, but I'm very grateful that I get to partner with all these companies on an annual basis to promote their products. When it comes to things we can consume, there are endless possibilities. As a runner, there are plenty of places where I can easily access the gear, gadgets and nutrition I'm looking for, but the quickest and easiest and cheapest isn't always the best. Which is why I take the brands I work with very seriously.

I'm an ambassador for six brands and they are all based in either New Hampshire or Maine. Working with local companies is incredibly important to me. The profits of local companies directly impact my community, providing jobs for people in my state and helping our local economy flourish. If I get the chance to spread the word about these companies, then I'm not just benefiting their bottom line but I'm helping my neighbors too. Each of these companies are committed to sustainability, not to mention the products they create are of the highest quality.
It's funny how as a teen all I wanted to do was get out of small-town New England, but once I left I couldn't resist the pull to come back. New Hampshire is home. I'm so proud to be born and raised in this beautiful state and I LOVE sharing it with YOU all, whether it is through my running and racing, my outdoor adventures with my kids or products that are made right here.
While I do work with other brand occasionally for giveaways or one-off promotions (because if they want to give me free stuff, why not pass that on to you?!), these are the brands I am proud to be an ambassador for:
Coolcore-Portsmouth, NH
Coolcore is driven by research to create performance fabrics that function without chemical treatments. Their chemical-free cooling apparel has become an every-day staple in my running wardrobe, from tights, to tanks, to tee's they make quality products that look great and perform even better.
Their active wraps also have a constant place in my freezer and are readily available for my kids bumps and bruises or my running injuries. I've also had the privilege of working one-on-one with the staff at Coolcore to create video content and even had an appearance on a couple photo shoots (fun!). But what I appreciate most is their constant support not just of my running, but also my involvement with CHaD Kids, they contribute annually to my fundraising efforts with a sizable donation.

Trigger Pin-Wolfeboro, NH
While I was running the Big Lake Half Marathon in 2016, my husband was waiting at the finish line with the kids and purchased (for himself) a handmade Trigger Pin from Mark DeNitto, owner and at the time chief Trigger-Pin-Maker. Mark started out making the Trigger Pin in his basement in Wolfeboro, NH (home of my favorite rail trail and stroller running spot!) and has slowly grown his business. By far, the Trigger Pin is my MOST USED massage tool (and I have A LOT of massage tools) and since Mark released the newest version, The Vector, my hubby and I now have two and don't have to share anymore. Ha!

Stonyfield-Londonderry, NH
As a kid, I remember Stonyfield Yogurt being in our fridge. I grew up eating it, so now my kids are growing up eating Stonyfield too. Stonyfield is based in New Hampshire and sources it's milk from small local farms. When I'm looking for a quick breakfast or snack, I usually reach for their Whole Milk Greek Yogurt and our fridge is always stocked with the YoKids Squeezers. Stonyfield has also been a great supporter of many of the events I've put on, like fundraisers for CHaD Kids and Rise.Run.Retreat. it's always a pleasure to partner with people who are eager to give back.

GrandyOats-Hiram, ME
Owned and operated by to fellow University of New Hampshire graduates, Grandy Oats is a small granola company based in Maine. I stumbled upon their products last year during our stint living at the beach and quickly got hooked. Their granola is delicious and has far less sugar than standard granola-as if the ethos behind the company isn't compelling enough! They recently partnered with me in support of Rise.Run.Retreat and I'm happy to be topping my Stonyfield Yogurt with Grandy Oats...or eating it by the handful!
You can get Grandy Oats delivered to your door! Check it out HERE.

Badger Balm-Gilsum, NH
After our son Jack was born, I spent some time researching sunscreens. Given his congenital skin condition, I wanted to make sure we were using the most effective sunscreen that was made with natural products. A group thread in a Nevus support group tipped me off to Badger Balm and I got really excited when I found out that it was a New Hampshire-based company (Hey, that's my state!). We've been using their sunscreen products for the last five years and I've recently had the chance to try some of their natural beauty products, which I also love!

Pete and Gerry's Organic Eggs-Monroe, NH
After our first child was born, I started taking a serious look at the products I was putting in our grocery cart. I really wanted to buy all organic, but at the time it really wasn't feasible for our budget. So I made little changes here and there and one of the first changes I made was buying Organic, Free Range eggs from Pete and Gerry's. Fast forward, eight years and I'm not just buying them because they are the best option out there for eggs, I'm buying them because I'm buying eggs from friends.
Over the past few years we've become friends with the Laflamme family (Sandra and I have run a few races together!), founders and owners of Pete and Gerry's. Their commitment to small family farms and quality products makes it easy to put Pete and Gerry's Organic Eggs on my grocery list each week...and we eat a ton of eggs, so there's that too!
