KitLife Planner Giveaway: start 2017 with intention and gratitude
Bullet journaling has certainly been getting a lot of buzz lately and while I'm all for writing EVERYTHING down (I just can't do phone calendars or reminders or lists) I've been hesitant to do the Bullet Journal Thing. So for the past few months of 2016 I cobbled together a to-do list/week view of what I need to get done and kept my wall calendar for appointments and things. It was working...sort of. But I wanted better for 2017 so I ordered the KitLife Planner.
KitLife Planner
I browsed through the designs and thought it seemed like a great way to by-pass the seemingly time intensive Bullet Journaling Thing. My KitLife Planner arrived last week and I loved so much of it: the quarterly check-ins, the spot for gratitude, the fact that each page was dedicated to a single day-there was a lot to love.
I also liked the company's "Do More. Be More. Give More." philosophy and the fact that the women who founded the company made gratitude and intention a key part of the planner.

I selected the extra note section add-on (there are add-ons for teachers and small business owners too) because I use my make-shift notebook planner as a place to draft articles as well. Typically I make my weekly to-do list, map out the week's tasks by days and leave 4 pages of blank pages after each week to jot down quotes, thoughts, outlines for articles and sometimes complete drafts of articles. My hope was that the KitLife planner would help me condense my scattered system of planner/notebook+wall calendar+random slips of paper into one place.
Best Fit
I flipped through the planner for several days, looking but not writing anything in it. I realize while there is ample room in the back for notes, I really want my notes up with the week they correspond with mostly because my articles are often linked with deadlines and it is nice for me to have it all in one place. The more I thought about it I realized that with all the things I loved about the planner, it just wasn't the best fit for my main need which was room to draft articles.
Authentic Company
So I sent a message to the KitLife asking about a return.
And I got the MOST AMAZING RESPONSE. I didn't get some automated email with return instructions, instead I got a personal note from Jessica (one of the gals who started the company) wondering what I didn't like about it and was there any other add-ons that would help me customize it and asked if I had any suggestions.
I feel like responses like that are so rare, it endeared me to the company right away.
Jessica welcomed my feedback as I outlined what would make a perfect (well...perfect for me;) Blogger/Freelance Writer edition to the KitLife planner options. She was so receptive of my ideas.
And then she wondered if I wanted to give one away on my blog.
While the KitLife Planner might not be the perfect fit for my quirky needs for oodles of blank note pages, I feel like it is a GREAT product created by really authentic women-so why wouldn't I want to give you all a chance to get one?
For those of you want a place to plan everything, track your wellness goals and keep a broader outlook with reminders to be grateful (plus it's super cute!) then the KitLife Planner would be an amazing way to map out 2017.
