Play with your food: making fro-yo with YayLabs and Stonyfield
Thanks to Stonyfield and YayLabs for making this delicious post possible! When you're on vacation you leave the regular routine behind: the kids go to bed waaaay past their bedtime, you sleep late, you buy all the snacks at Trader Joes (and then eat them all) and you play with your food.
We loaded up our ice cream ball with Stonyfield yogurt, maple syrup and vanilla and in the second compartment packed in the ice and rock salt.

We played "hot potato" and a few other games to keep the ball moving. And about 25 minutes later we had a rich and creamy fro-yo we topped with fresh blueberries...and M&Ms and sprinkles. The perfect afternoon treat!
Maple Vanilla Frozen Yogurt
1/4 cup maple syrup
3 Tbs. brown sugar
2 tsp. pure vanilla extract
YayLabs Ice Cream Ball
Rock salt and ice.
1. Combine all the fro-yo ingredients in the food container of the ice cream ball. Add a dash of cinnamon for added flavor.
2. Add ice and rock salt to the ice compartment of the icecream ball (you can find rock salt in your groceries seasonal isle--I found it next to the charcoal or in the spice isle. You can substitute kosher salt as well).
3. Play with your ice cream ball for 25 minutes.
