Run with Heart. It's about more than just loving the run. There's no denying that I love to run. I love the difficulty. I love the competition. I love the ease of a good run where the miles tick by and you feel like you are flying. I love the quiet alone time with my thoughts. I love the roads I run down. I love the track. I love the way things I thought were impossible, become possible with a little hard work and determination. But running with heart is a little bit more than all of those things, its running for something...for someone. Two years ago when Jack had his first surgery when we were thrust into the world of hospital stays, heavy medications and frequent bandage changes my eyes were opened. There's more that goes into all of that than meets the eye, especially at a Children's Hospital: specifically the Children's Hospital at Dartmouth-Hitchcock. There's care that health insurance doesn't cover, care that is necessary when you're living in the world of having a sick or injured child.

I wanted to do something. And as I pounded out all the emotions I was going through on the pavement I thought of that something. Maybe, I thought. I can raise more money selling t-shirts than writing letters. And RunFarGear, LLC was born. It's the marriage of my l love of running and my desire to make a difference for other families just like ours.

It started with "Embrace the Hill" and continues with this new graphic, created by the oh.so.talented Jillian Tholen. Run because you love it, run because you care about something bigger than you and bigger than the run. Run with Heart.

Comes in black&pink, green&white, purple&black and gray&mint, sizes S to XXL (very limited quantities of XXL). Black&Pink will ship the week of February 16th, all other colors will ship the week of March 16th. And as with all purchases, 10% of profits will be donated to the Children's Hospital at Dartmouth-Hitchcock.
