Fabulous Friday Finds
I thought I'd share a few good "finds" from this week. It's a range of exciting and new to new-to-me. And they are fabulous…or at least I liked the alliteration "fabulous" offered to the title. I almost threw "fall" in there…but that would have been too much. Six03Endurance Great Pumpkin 10K Relay--This race came up in my Facebook feed and once I found out it was a relay I knew that I had to do it. And who better to form a team with than my husband (who dislikes running)?! So I roped him into this one with the declaration that "It'll be soooo fun!!!" So we're registered as team "It Was Her Idea." The race is a trail run through a local winery. It's four, 1.5 miles laps and each team member runs one lap then passes off to the next (I lured him in with the fact that he will only be running 1.5 miles at a time). I'm looking forward to it! Alo Yoga- I came across their leggings while scrolling though Instagram. And then checked out their apparel. I'm not a big Yoga person, but that doesn't mean I don't love yoga clothes! Ha. So I thought their bra and top were super cute and could of course cross over into any studio activity, like barre and potentially be good for running. These are the "Trace Bra" and the "Exhale Top." I also love their "Volcano Lightning" printed leggings.
No Joy in Soy- This is an older article from DieticianCassie.com. I think a lot of people think that soy is extremely healthy for you, but when you look at some of the negative side affects of consuming large amounts of soy, it doesn't seem like such a healthy option. While researching ways to heal cavities naturally I did a bit of reading on physic acid and started to limit the amount of legumes and nuts I was consuming. Ultimately you should be informed about what you're putting in your body, no matter what it is. This one is a worth a read. And if you're looking for well-researched info on most health food fads you can find it at Empowered Sustenance.
RWZelle- If you haven't subscribed RWZelle newsletter or followed them on Twitter and Instagram or liked them on Facebook you should! RW Zelle is the newest and most exciting thing coming from Runner's World. In their own words "Zelle is for women runners, by women runners." They haven't launched quite yet, but you can be in on the action if you follow them!
Oiselle Cableknit Arm Warmers- What's fall without a little cableknit? These seamless arm warmers from Oiselle look pretty amazing and are the perfect compliment to any fall race.
What have you stumbled upon recently that you're loving?
