National Running Day

Today is National Running Day, a day where avid runners and non-runners alike have a chance to lace up their shoes, get out the door and hit the road knowing thousands of others are doing the same. Today I celebrated at the track. I love the open road for the freedom I feel when I'm on it, but I love the track because with each lap I feel like I'm getting closer to reaching my potential as a runner.

These days I've been taking my track workouts easy, at 6 months pregnant there's no reason to push myself to hard. But I still go because it reminds me that I AM a runner.
